The introduction of AI is progressing step by step, with the first applications focusing on clearly defined tasks where their performance and practical benefits can be evaluated before deeper integration into process operations. As AI applications move closer to process control and automation, requirements for data architecture, validation, transparency and system reliability become increasingly important.
